1987: Started a Day Care Centre with a popcorn unit at Mankave (Calicut) with Devasya as the manager who continues till date. It served as a centre of occupation therapy and also as a training centre to enable patients to stand on their own feet. The centre was shifted to puthiyara as the society had to vacate the building. Popcorn and peanuts were marketed initially and a nursery was started and seedlings of nut mugs, cloves etc were grown and sold. The social forestry programmed supported this project. The inmates participated in these ventures participated wholeheartedly.
1988: Purchased 70 cents of land at Thalakulathur, 12 Km north of Calicut, to house a rehabilitation centre for the mentally ill. The foundation stone for the residential complex was laid by the then Minister of Health Mr.A.C Shanmugadas at the site.
1990: Started free monthly medical camps for the mentally ill, which provides them with diagnosis and medicine, free of cost. This is continued without break till date. On the last Thursday of every month medicines are dispensed free and we are grateful to the psychiatrists of Calicut, who attend the camp on their own, allowing free consultation.
